Loving
the water as much as I do, it is no wonder I find so much
solace in its motion. My family
 has
always been around the water and I've grown up being comforted by
the sound of the waves splashing against the hull of a boat or
gently lapping against beaches, both rocky and sandy. I've always
thought my name (Sandy) suited me. I was born in Monterey,
California, not far from the painting pictured here. I am certain I
will spend the rest of my life loving the sound you see in this
painting.
