I met these two horses while doing a photo shoot quite a few years ago. At every opportunity they would stop and "talk" to each other. I was so taken by their relationship that I did a small watercolor painting of them. Since then, I discovered pastels and have been chomping at the bit to do this painting in a much larger format, using pastels. This is the result of that endeavor. I really enjoy the added energy from the pastels which I think compliments the energy that is obvious between the two horses.
