Grab a
nice cozy wrap and you can settle down on the knoll to
watch the rest of the sunset. I promise you won't be
disappointed. Here, on Whidbey Island, the sun does
magical things to the water and the lowlands in the
distance. It bounces around, playing with each wave as it
rolls to shore. Then, it dashes out and catches the next
wave. This is the perfect time of day for soaking up all
the island has to offer.
The frame for this
piece was custom made by my husband, using wood that
drifted onto our property :) from the very spot that
inspired this painting - just outside the door to my
studio.
